Books

I had more 5 Star reads in July than I did in any other month! Here are three of my absolute favourites.

Movies

My husband and I have started what we’re calling a “movie wheel” where we put in all the movies we want to watch and put them into a wheel picker and watch whatever it says. So far it’s worked out really well for us! These movies aren’t exactly new, but they’re ones we watched (or re-watched) in July and absolutely loved!

TV Shows

Literally ALL we have been watching this month is True Blood. With seven seasons to get through, it’s taking us some time. But we’re seriously enjoying it! It’s my husband’s first time watching it and my second time. If possible, I love it even more this time around. I forgot how much I loved Lafayette and Pam.

In honour of that, enjoy my all-time favourite scene from season one!

Music

I’m a creature of habit. I can’t help it! I listen to the same songs from the 80s (I wasn’t even born then!) or re-listen to the same song a thousand times until I’m sick of it. So there’s no surprise that my top artist this week was still Käärijä from Finland’s Eurovision entry back in May!

I feel like my top 3 songs definitely show my eclectic taste! Do we have any in common?

Amazon Purchases

I am an Amazon fiend. Truly a fiend. As you can see from my favourites below they have a huge range of uses! From cat stuff to home stuff, I should have shares in Amazon at this point!!

With two cats and a doggo, our house is just full to the brim of pet fur and dander. I have quite severe hayfever and for whatever reason it was really bad this year. I decided to buy this in the hope of it helping and it did! It has a night mode as well which is super quiet so you can leave it on overnight. It also has an essential oil diffuser built in. Not only that but the replacement filters are super affordable which was one of the main factors in choosing this air purifier.

Speaking of pets, our cats are definite scratchers. They will scratch anything. Our Bengal, Tana prefers vertical while our bigger Turkish Van, Klaus prefers horizontal. Because Klaus is bigger he goes through scratchers so quickly. I found this, it’s a box of 5 reversible scratchers (so effectively 10 scratchers). Since buying at the start of the month, he’s only gone through one!

When I came up with the idea of doing a favourites wrap up, never did I think I would be including something so mundane. So this month, we decided as a family to start getting properly on top of our finances. I wanted something sturdy, affordable and practical to store all of our bills, invoices and receipts. This comes with labels and is as durable as anything!

And there you have it! My top favourites of the month. Let me know some of your favourites of the month.
